One of the key ways to show support for the Backyard Chicken Caucus (besides raising awareness for backyard chickens and continuing to educate others) is to sign a petition in favor of changing the current laws to keeping backyard chickens in Baltimore County, MD on under one acre of land. Currently residents in Baltimore County can only own chickens legally if they own a minimum of one acre of land or if they go through an extensive variance process. This information will be used to show the Baltimore County Council of how many people are in favor of keeping backyard chicken, no matter the size of land.
